Jennifer Ehle Joins ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

Thesp will play Anastasia Steele's mother

Jennifer Ehle is in negotiations to join the cast of Universal and Focus’ feature adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam are set to star, with Sam Taylor-Johnson helming the pic.

Ehle will play Anastasia Steele’s mother in the film.

Michael DeLuca and Dana Brunetti are producing. Kelly Marcel penned the script.

Ehle was most recently seen in Sony’s “Zero Dark Thirty.” She is repped by ICM Partners.

Deadline Hollywood first reported the news.

    Carla had Ana young and she’d be in her early 40s so Jennifer is perfect, but she looks like she could be Dakota’s sister, not mother! Jennifer is an older version of the youthful, sweet faced Ana in the books while Dakota is the opposite and looks to be in her 30s already. They screwed it up by casting someone for Ana who looks so old for her age and not youthful!
