Exclusive inks ‘Quiet Ones’ deals

Lionsgate nabs U.K., CCC grabs Japan

LONDON

Exclusive Media has concluded a raft of international sales deals for supernatural thriller “The Quiet Ones,” from Exclusive-owned production company Hammer.

New distrib deals, announced Friday by Exclusive’s president of international sales and distribution Alex Walton, see Lionsgate set to handle the film in U.K./Ireland; CCC in Japan; EEAP for CIS and Eastern Europe; Independent for Benelux; Nu Metro in South Africa; Ascot Elite in Switzerland; CDC across Latin America; and Front Row in the Middle East.

Exclusive already has distrib deals for the film in place with Village Roadshow (Greece), Sam Film (Iceland), United King (Israel), D Productions (Turkey), Deltamac (Hong Kong), Tanweer (India, Pakistan), PT Amero (Indonesia), Lotus Five Star (Malaysia), Pioneer (Philippines), M Pictures (Thailand) and Star TV (South East Asia).

Helmed by John Pogue from his own script, “The Quiet Ones” stars Jared Harris and Sam Claflin in a story — inspired by true events — about an unorthodox professor who leads his best students to take part in a dangerous experiment to create a poltergeist from negative human energy.

The film, which recently completed lensing, is produced by James Gay-Rees, Exclusive Media’s Tobin Armbrust and Simon Oakes, and Steven Chester Prince and Ben Holden, in association with The Travelling Picture Show Company.
