Along with the financial prize, winners also attend co-production meetings designed to promote partnerships with the grantees and producers, sales agents, distributors and others involved in film. The meetings run this year from Oct. 25-27.

“It’s important to note that support for the grantees doesn’t just stop at financing,” said Ali Al Jabri, ADFF director. “The Sanad fund is dedicated to providing year-round creative and industry advice to the grantees.”

The Sanad fund was established in 2010. Each production grantee may receive up to $60,000, while development grantees may collect up to $20,000.
