Toon debuts next year

Raising Hope’s” Lucas Neff will voice the lead character of Arlo in Pixar’s next film “The Good Dinosaur,” out May 30, 2014.

Film is co-directed by Pete Sohn, the voice of Squishy in “Monsters University.”

Film revolves around what would happen if the asteroid didn’t hit Earth and dinosaurs survived. The dinos are farmers in the film.

John Lithgow, Frances McDormand, Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris and Judy Greer also voice lead characters.

Lasseter introduced the project at the D23 Expo, at the Anaheim Convention Center. The three-day event, which runs Friday through Sunday, is Disney’s version of Comic-Con with every division of the company represented. The Anaheim Convention Center Arena, where the event was held, seats over 7,000.

This is Disney’s third year producing D23 Expo, held every other year.
