Berlin competition player to get U.S. distrib

Cohen Media Group has closed U.S. distribution on Emmanuelle Bercot’s Catherine Deneuve starrer “On My Way” ahead of its Berlin competition world premiere Friday.

CMG chairman-CEO Charles S. Cohen and Adeline Fontan Tessaur, co-director of “Way’s” sales agent Elle Driver, negotiated the U.S. sale.

Deneuve plays a lonely, former beauty pageant winner now living with her mother. Weighed down by a failed relationship and a failing family restaurant business, she takes off on a road trip that reawakens her to life.

Pic was written by Bercot, Claude Sautet and Jerome Tonnerre.

Olivier Delbosc and Marc Missonnier produce for Fidelite Films, whose recent credits include Patrice Leconte’s “A Promise,” “Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia” and “Renoir.” Cinematogapher is Guillaume Schiffman, who lensed “The Artist.”

CMG distributed “Farewell, My Queen” in the U.S., which grossed $1.3 million.
