Chris Pine Named Male Star of

CinemaCon will award its male star of the year award to Chris Pine.

The kudo will be presented April 18 at the convention at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Pine will next be seen in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek Into Darkness” from Paramount on May 17. Pine will also star in “Jack Ryan” for Paramount, which opens on Christmas Day.

Pine’s credits include “People Like Us,” “This Means War,” “Unstoppable,” “Star Trek,” “Bottle Shock” and “Smokin’ Aces.” He also received an award from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle for best lead performance for “The Lieutenant of Inishmore.”
