‘Catching Fire’: Lionsgate Debuts Coldplay Single

Studio also sets early ticket sale date

With 12 weeks to go before the film’s worldwide release, Lionsgate released the first song off the “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack — Coldplay’s single “Atlas.”

The first “Hunger Games” soundtrack hit number one on the Billboard charts and its first single, “Safe & Sound” by Taylor Swift and featuring the Civil Wars, won a Grammy for  song written for visual media.

The studio also announced that advance tickets for the highly anticipated sequel go on sale Oct. 1. Seats will be available through FandangoMovieTickets.com, and exhibitor websites at 9 a.m. PDT.
