Breaking Glass nabs domestic rights to ‘Silver’

Christian Filippella's comedy set for March release

Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American distribution rights to Christian Filippella’s comedy “Silver Case,” with plans for a theatrical release in March, followed by a VOD and homevideo release on May 7.

“Silver Case” stars Eric Roberts, Seymour Cassel, Shalim Ortiz, Vincent De Paul, Claire Falconer, Brian Keith Gamble and Chris Facey.

Script by Filippella centers on a powerful producer (Roberts) who hatches a plan to undermine the future success of his shady archrival. His plot begins with the delivery of a silver briefcase, which soon goes missing, setting off a chain of events.

Shot in Los Angeles and Italy, “Silver Case” premiered at the Rome Film Festival in 2011 and won the Spirit of Independent Award at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival.
