Actor says he is 'gutted by this loss'

Brad Pitt has expressed his sense of loss following the death of James Gandolfini, and his admiration for the late actor’s work. Pitt played alongside Gandolfini in 2012 Mob thriller “Killing Them Softly.”

“I admire Jimmy as a ferocious actor, a gentle soul and a genuinely funny man,” Pitt said in a statement.

“I am fortunate to have sat across the table from him and am gutted by this loss. I wish his family strength and some semblance of peace.”

  1. Debbie Goodman says:

I met Mr. Gandolfini briefly last year after the Emmy Awards. He graciously posed for a photo with my niece and me. He put his arms around both of us. He felt like a “big teddy bear”. He seemed very “soft spoken”. I too am saddened by this loss. My condolences to his family and friends.

  2. What a man!! He is awesome in the “SOPRANOS”. I have watched “True Romance”, love it!! He was to young to be taken and he will be missed and forever remembered!!
