In a pre-American Film Market deal, long-stalled supernatural romancer “The Age of Adaline” has attracted Blake Lively and Ellen Burstyn as the lead actresses with Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel producing.

Lee Toland Krieger is directing from a script by J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz.

Lionsgate will handle U.S. distribution. Foreign sales at AFM will be handled by Lakeshore and Sierra/Affinity.

The story centers on a young woman born at the turn of 20th century who is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man for whom it might be worth losing her immortality.

Kimmel is producing with Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi.

Project had Gabriele Muccino attached as a director in 2011. Katherine Heigl was attached to topline in 2010 with Andy Tenant directing.

The Deadline Hollywood site first reported Lively coming on board.
