‘American Hustle’ Cast Honored With Ensemble Award at Palm Springs Festival

American Hustle gets 7 AACTA nominations

The cast of David O. Russell’s “American Hustle” will be honored with the ensemble performance award at the Palm Springs Film Festival. The honor will be given at the January 4 gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

Russell’s drama set in the world of the 1970s ABSCAM scandal stars Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner.

“American Hustle grabs you from the start and is populated by a group of eminently believable characters as brought to life by this brilliant cast,”said festival chairman Harold Matzner.

Previous ensembles honored with the award include “Argo,” “Babel” and “The Social Network.”

The festival runs January 3-13.
