Academy's Jasmine Madatian Exits

Will retain consulting role on Oscars

Jasmine Madatian, managing director of communications for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, has exited after one year but will work with Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron on the kudocast.

The Academy hired Madatian in June 2012 to fill the newly created position, designed to have a focus on both the Oscars and the org’s year-round initatives. The longtime studio publicity exec, with stings at Disney and Paramount, will go back to her own consulting firm while staying in the thick of the Oscar mix with Zadan and Meron.

The news was first reported by Deadline.
