The cast continues to grow for Summit’s “Divergent” as “A Good Day To Die Hard” star Jai Courtney has joined the cast.
Pic stars Shailene Woodley and Kate Winslet and has a “Hunger Games”-like teen-on-teen violence setting and follows 16-year-old Beatrice Prior, whom Woodley is set to play. Courtney will play Eric who is a leader of the Dauntless faction.
Neil Burger will helm, with Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher producing through their Red Wagon banner. Vanessa Taylor is rewriting the script that Evan Daugherty penned and Burger helped develop.
Pic is set to bow March 21, 2014.
The pic is still trying to find its male lead and love interest to Woodley’s character but that decision should also be answered shortly.
Besides “A Good Day To Die Hard,” Courtney was also seen in the Paramount pic “Jack Reacher.”
Courtney is repped by UTA, The Collective and Mark Morrisey & Associates in Australia.

Well I’m truly excited! This book was fantastic. So ready to see if they can fill what my imagination has created of this world.
