Box Office: '2 Guns' Opens With

'2 Guns' heading into 3,023 locations

Universal’s “2 Guns” opened with $1.28 million from late-night Thursday shows as the Mark Wahlberg-Denzel Washington actioner faces off against kidpic “The Smurfs 2.”

Tracking projects that the film will hit around $30 million for the weekend, as the actioner expands into 3,023 theaters.

Sony’s “Smurfs” sequel, which features Hank Azaria, Neil Patrick Harris and Katy Perry, opened Wednesday with $5.2 million at 3,866 and is expected to cume around $35 million by Sunday.

“2 Guns” also stars Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, Fred Ward, James Marsden and Edward James Olmos. It also allowed for Wahlberg to reteam with his “Contraband” director, Baltasar Kormakur.

Emmett Furla financed the $61 million project.

    Message in every photo and trailer: Black man beating up white man, Black man dominating white female. Hollywood shoves this agenda down our throats at every opportunity. They try to be coy and subliminal, but it is obvious to me. it is disgusting and offensive. You could not pay me to watch this racist garbage.
