Magnolia nabs Von Trier’s ‘Nymphomaniac’

Acquisition follows buyers-only promo screening

Magnolia Pictures has acquired U.S. rights to Lars von Trier’s “Nymphomaniac” following a buyers-only promo screening at the European Film Market in Berlin.

The deal was negotiated between Magnolia’s senior VP of acquisitions, Dori Begley, and director of acquisitions, Peter van Steemburg, and TrustNordisk’s CEO Rikke Ennis, and head of sales, Susan Wendt.
