High Point sells Brit horror ‘Community’

Sales concluded in U.K., Germany, Japan

LONDON — High Point Media Group has secured a slew of distrib deals for British horror “Community.”

Sales have been concluded with Matchbox Films (U.K.), Bridge Rights (Germany), Epcott (Japan), Non Stop (Scandinavia) and Rialto (New Zealand).

The film, scripted and helmed by Jason Ford, tells the story of two student filmmakers who naively plan to shoot a docu on life on a violent council estate only to discover the dangers of this community go well beyond the norm.

High Point had previously sold North American rights to Grindstone Entertainment, with Lionsgate Home Entertainment set to release.
