Koch Media Picks Up K5's 'Drop'

Mukunda Michael Dewil to helm action thriller

Koch Media has nabbed German rights to Mukunda Michael Dewil’s action thriller “Drop” from K5 Intl.

Pic follows a special ops officer as he attempts to free the U.S. Vice President, who is being held hostage by terrorists in a cable car. Pic is set on Cape Town’s Table Mountain in South Africa.

Pic is also penned by Dewil, who previously helmed “Vehicle 19,” which toplined “Fast & Furious” thesp Paul Walker, and was picked up in the States by Ketchup Entertainment.

K5 co-founders Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur, who negotiated the “Drop” deal, promise “jaw-dropping stunts at dizzying heights,” and said the pic was targeted at auds seeking a “Friday night adrenalin rush.”

“Drop” is now casting.
