Channing Tatum's shrewd "Magic Mike" deal places him second

It pays to be Marvel’s main man.

Robert Downey Jr. pocketed an estimated $75 million between June 2012 and June 2013, earning him the title of Highest-Paid Actor in Hollywood, this according to Forbes magazine’s annual list.

Downey earned $50 million for “The Avengers” alone, which took home $1.5 billion at the box office and an additional $25 million for “Iron Man 3,” another billion-dollar performer.

Channing Tatum leapfrogged several big names to earn the number two slot, having taken home $60 million in the last 12 months. In addition to  “G.I. Joe Retaliation,” Tatum made a killing by self-financing  “Magic Mike” with director Steven Soderbergh, so when the $7 million flick made $167 million worldwide, they each earned millions.
