YouTube, the world’s most popular video site, was experiencing technical difficulties on Monday.

The website experienced sporadic outages earlier Monday morning but as of 2:40 p.m. PT, the site was inaccessible for hundreds of thousands of users.

A spokesman for YouTube told Variety: “Some people are encountering errors, or a slower than normal experience on YouTube today. We’re working to fix the problem as soon as possible.”

Owned by Google since 2006, the site has over 1 billion unique visitors a month.

  1. Joe Boysen says:

Very clever! Like so many. Clever, but not intelligent as we used to have the general say to his aide “Bradshaw” when Ed Des Lauriers and I mocked a fictional British Brigadier, himself ridiculing some imaginary “native” subalterns back in “Injah” days, back when Brits were thought to be ….. well …. more than they have proven to be. Alas! The wrong people won the war, and look at the mess we’re in Stanley!! “Look here Bradshaw!!”
