Millennium Entertainment, Gravitas Team on Distribution

Pact covers 'Hell Baby,' 'End of Love,' '33 Postcards,' 'Hunky Dory'

Millennium Entertainment and Gravitas Ventures have formed an alliance on distribution of indie films with Gravitas handling digital distribution and Millennium on home entertainment.

The pact covers Sundance comedy “Hell Baby” (pictured above), with Gravitas handling a VOD release in July followed by a theatrical release from Millennium Entertainment. “Hell Baby” is produced and directed by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon amd stars Rob Corddry, Leslie Bibb and Keegan Michael Kay.

Millennium will also handle physical home video distribution on “Hell Baby” as well as Gravitas’ other titles including “The End of Love,” starring Marc Webber and Shannyn Sossamon; musical-comedy and drama “Hunky Dory,” starring Minnie Driver; and drama “33 Postcards,” starring Guy Pierce.

“As we’ve seen the marketplace evolve, many producers, filmmakers, and sales agents have asked us to be all-rights buyers,” said Gravitas Ventures president Michael Murphy. “Millennium Entertainment is extremely well positioned to ensure that key acquisitions have a vibrant life in the physical space and we’re truly excited to be working with them.”
