Pair to cross-promote family-friendly vids

Disney Interactive has pacted with Vevo to launch a slate of family friendly music destinations.

The partnership is designed to work both ways, with Disney hosting Vevo videos on, and the Mouse in turn programming kid-oriented music channels for the video service. The companies will also work together to create original programming across both platforms, drawing from Disney Music Group and Radio Disney talent.

“Music is a key component of the offering and deepens the premium family entertainment experience we offer guests online,” Disney Interactive co-prexy Jimmy Pitaro said. “And now we are amplifying the Disney experience by partnering with the world’s leading digital music video platform.”
