Digital Ad-Sales Exec Peter Naylor Leaves

Scott Schiller to assume exec's duties in interim

Peter Naylor, one of NBCUniversal’s senior digital ad-sales executives, left the company in recent days, according to people familiar with the situation.

Naylor was most recently exec veep, ad sales, for NBC News Digital. Earlier in his tenure, he was exec veep of NBCU’s digital sales operation. He took his most recent position in the fall of 2012, as part of a restructuring made by Linda Yaccarino, NBCU’s president of ad sales, two months after she was named to that position. While Naylor had a direct line to the company’s top ad-sales exec, the move was viewed as one that left him with a narrower portfolio.

Naylor is a member of the board of directors of the Interactive Advertising Bureau.

Naylor joined NBCU in 2006 after the media conglomerate acquired his former company, iVillage. He also once served as eastern sales director for Wired Digital Interactive.

Scott Schiller, exec veep of entertainment digital sales for NBCU, will oversee ad sales for NBC News Digital on an interim basis, according to a person familiar with the matter. NBCU declined to comment on Naylor’s departure.
