ATF: Lionsgate Switches on to Toggle

HONG KONG — Celestial Tiger Entertainment, which represents Lionsgate in much of Asia, has completed a deal to license some 700 hours of film and TV content to Toggle, a Singapore digital platform.

The deal allows the MediaCorp-owned over-the-top platform Toggle to air the series and films on its Toggle Eve and Toggle Movies channels, and include them in its subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) service.

The deal includes TV series “Weeds,” “Mad Men” (pictured), “Nail Files,” a reality series following nail salon owner Katie Cazorla, and comedy “Running Wilde.” Library film titles in the deal include “American Pie,” “American Psycho,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Resident Evil,” “Resident Evil: Apocalypse,” and the “Cube” and “Leprechaun” franchises

Toggle was launched in February this year with a remit in entertainment, information and news across multiple platforms. Channels offered include: Toggle Eve, Toggle Kids, Toggle Movies, Body in Balance, TravelXP, Havoc 247, KBS World, Motorvision, FashionOne, Jiangsu TV, Channel NewsAsia and Channel 8i. Also available on demand are Comedy Central Asia and movies from Disney, Cinemaworld HD, KIX & Thrill Select and Celestial Movies.

During last week’s Asian TV Forum Toggle announced a mixed package of some 580 hours from Fremantle Media International and 200 hours from ITV Global Studios International including titles such as “Hell’s Kitchen USA,” “Cook Me The Money” and “May The Best House Win.”
