Titles include 'Wall-E,' 'Ratatouille,' 'Narnia'

LONDON — Amazon’s VOD service LoveFilm has inked a deal with Disney to stream a host of the studio’s pics on a branded on-demand service to auds in Blighty and Germany.

Dubbed Disney Movies on Demand, LoveFilm members will be able to watch titles such as “Wall-E,” “Ratatouille,” “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,” “Dumbo,” Sword in the Stone” and “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” at no extra cost as part of their existing subscription.

“Disney is renowned for creating world famous, quality family entertainment that parents can trust; from the earliest animations to modern classics,” said LoveFilm chief marketing officer Simon Morris. “We are thrilled to enhance our relationship with the launch of Disney Movies on Demand, and even more excited about bringing our members so much new content in the process.”

LoveFilm has more than 2 million subscribers across the U.K. and Germany and has inked content deals with major studios and indies including Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Universal, Disney, Sony Pictures, Studiocanal and eOne.

The service is available on PC and Mac or via Nintendo Wii and Wii U, Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire and Apple iPad.
