MUMBAI — The Sundance Channel is being added to LG Korea, the Korean IPTV platform, as a 24-hour linear channel. It is already available in the country on Skylife, Olleh TV and B.TV.
In Taiwan it is launching as a mobile video-on-demand (VoD) service via Taiwan Mobile. And in Thailand cabler TrueVisions is to launch WE tv.
The fragmented Philippines market is to be covered by a recent deal with Accion, appointed as exclusive reseller for both Sundance and WE tv. It has taken the channels into Metro Manila via the Cablelink TV platform; Olangapo and Zambales regions via Asian Vision; Taytay and Teresea regions via Telmarc; and via Royal Cablevision for the Cabuyao and Calamba regions.
In Latin America, Sundance Channel will be launched as a 24-hour linear, high-definition channel on TV Cable Ecuador, the country’s largest cable provider.
“These exciting, new distribution agreements reflect the importance of Asia and Latin America as critical regions in our global expansion strategy,” said Bruce Tuchman, president of AMC/Sundance Channel Global, ahead of Monday’s Casbaa pay TV convention in Hong Kong.
