AMC Networks targets international growth
MUMBAI — The Sundance Channel is being added to LG Korea, the Korean IPTV platform, as a 24-hour linear channel. It is already available in the country on Skylife, Olleh TV and B.TV.
In Taiwan it is launching as a mobile video-on-demand (VoD) service via Taiwan Mobile. And in Thailand cabler TrueVisions is to launch WE tv.
The fragmented Philippines market is to be covered by a recent deal with Accion, appointed as exclusive reseller for both Sundance and WE tv. It has taken the channels into Metro Manila via the Cablelink TV platform; Olangapo and Zambales regions via Asian Vision; Taytay and Teresea regions via Telmarc; and via Royal Cablevision for the Cabuyao and Calamba regions.
In Latin America, Sundance Channel will be launched as a 24-hour linear, high-definition channel on TV Cable Ecuador, the country’s largest cable provider.
