Glen Basner’s FilmNation has secured multiple major territory deals on Tarsem Singh’s “self/less,” marking the first pic to sell out at Cannes this year.

FilmDistrict plans to unspool the Ryan Reynolds-toplined pic in the U.S.

Among major deals unveiled Monday at Cannes include Canada (VVS), U.K. (Entertainment Films), Japan (Kino Films), France (SND), Spain (Dea Planeta), Italy (Eagle), Germany (Telemunchen), Australia and New Zealand (Roadshow), Latin America (Sun Distribution Group) and the CIS (Volga).

Benelux (Entertainment One), Iceland (Sam Films), Israel (Lev), Portugal (Lusomundo), Scandinavia (Mis Label), Turkey (Aqua), South Korea (Bloomage), Switzerland (Ascot Elite) count among other sales pacts.

Eastern Europe (Revolutionary), South Africa (Ster Kinekor), India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Pan Asia TV (Aspara) and China (Panasia) have also been licensed.

Written by Spain’s scribe-helmers David and Àlex Pastor (“Carriers”), “self/less” revolves around terminally ill New York real estate magnate Damian Hayes who gets a new body through a secret medical procedure. Hayes must cut off all ties with his former life before realizing that his new life is not at all what it was meant to be.

Ram Bergman, Endgame’s James D. Stern and FilmDistrict’s Peter Schlessel will produce the project. The trio previously teamed on Rian Johnson pics “Looper” and “The Brothers Bloom.”
