Disney's version of Comic-Con to return to home of Disneyland for a fourth time in 2015

Disney has announced that it will host its fourth D23 Expo from the Anaheim Convention Center in 2015.

Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger said made the announcement during a Disney Legend’s ceremony on Saturday.

Disney’s version of Comic-Con is currently under way at the venue across the street from Disneyland in the California city. It runs through Sunday. Friday and Saturday sold out, although Disney did not say just how many tickets that involved. Sources say D23 sold around 18,000 tickets on Friday and another 21,000 on Saturday.

D23 Expo is the signature event of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club.

Event takes place every other year and features booths and presentations from every division of the Mouse House.

Disney said exact dates of the next D23 would be announced in the near future on D23.com.

Anaheim will also host “Star Wars Celebration” on April 16-19, 2015. StarWars.com is currently selling tickets to the event.
