Nina Tassler, CBS Entertainment president, will be the Opening Keynote at the 2013 Banff World Media Festival, held in the Canadian Rockies. David Stapf, CBS Television Studios president and Armando Nuñez, president and chief executive officer, CBS Global Distribution Group, will be delivering a CBS Global Content Keynote.

The festival, dedicated to world television and digital content along with its creation, named CBS Corp. its inaugural company of distinction for demonstrating significant leadership in the world of screen based entertainment.

“CBS Corp. is a leading content company worldwide, led by the most watched network and highly successful studio. As this year’s distinguished Company of Distinction at BANFF, we are honored to welcome these top CBS executives who are shaping and distributing the content seen by audiences around the world,” said Ferne Cohen, Executive Director of the Banff World Media Festival.

Tassler oversees the Eye web’s entertainment programming for daytime, prime time and late night. She’s led development on the network’s popular shows like “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “NCIS,” “Big Bang Theory” and “Hawaii Five-0,” among others.

Stapf, who has been at CBS Television Studios since 2004, oversees program development and production for network, basic cable and premium channels. Nuñez is responsible for overseeing all of CBS Corporation’s international and domestic distribution operations.

As well as honoring excellence in international television, Banff unites professionals from around the world to participate in seminars known as Master Classes. The fest will take place June 9-12, 2013 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Canada.
