It’s official: after months of speculation, Fox’s “The X Factor” has inked hosting deals with Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez.
Pair will debut on the singing competish program’s first live show in November.
Brit presenter Steve Jones hosted the first season of the Stateside version of “X Factor.” He was dropped for second season along with judges Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Cole. “X Factor” performed solidly last year for Fox but did not live up to judge/exec producer Simon Cowell’s lofty expectations.
Arrival of Lopez and Odom as hosts follows the appointment of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato to the judges table with Cowell and L.A. Reid.
“The X Factor” is produced by Syco TV and FremantleMedia North America. Rob Wade and Nigel Hall exec produce for Cowell’s Syco. Trish Kinane, Richard Holloway and Andrew Llinares exec produce for FremantleMedia North America.
