Williams receives Comedy Awards honor

Kudocast to be aired May 6 on Comedy Central

Robin Williams has been tabbed to receive the Stand-up Icon Award at the upcoming Comedy Awards.

Longtime comic and actor is being feted at the event set for April 28 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Gotham and aired May 6 on Comedy Central.

Kudocast began last year, drew 1.4 million viewers and cabler is hoping it becomes a staple.

Top nominees for this year’s show include “Modern Family” and “30 Rock” on the TV side and “Bridesmaids” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love” on the film side.
