‘Wheel,’ ‘Jeopardy’ renewed through ’16

Sajak, White, Trebek reup contracts

Syndie game shows “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!” have been renewed by ABC-owned TV Stations Group through the 2015-2016 season.

“Wheel” and “Jeopardy,” distributed by CBS TV Distribution, will now be brought through their 33rd and 32nd runs, respectively. “Wheel” co-hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White along with “Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek have also reupped their contracts through the 2015-2016 season.

“The ABC Owned Stations have been a fantastic broadcast partner for ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Jeopardy!’ for the last few decades, and we look forward to many more years of this prosperous relationship,” CTD prexy of sales Joe DiSalvo said. “They continue to hit prime-time size ratings every night and truly prove the power that syndicated programming brings to a station’s lineup.”

“Wheel” has been the no. 1 syndicated game show since its debut in 1975. “Jeopardy” follows closely in the no. 2 spot.

Both shows are produced by Sony Pictures TV and exec produced by Harry Friedman.
