‘Waltons’ celebrates 40th anni

Cast members, producers reunite at Wilshire Ebell Theater

The spirit of the Blue Ridge Mountains will come to the Wilshire Ebell Theater on Sept. 29 as cast members and producers of “The Waltons” reunite to celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary.

The event is a fundraiser for L.A.’s Environmental Charter Middle School. The school’s principal is Kami Cotler, who played Elizabeth Walton throughout the show’s 1972-1981 run on CBS. Earl Hamner Jr., creator of the series about a family enduring the Depression in rural Virginia, will attend, as will thesps Ralph Waite, Jon Walmsley, Judy Norton, Eric Scott, Mary McDonough and David Harper.

A slew of actors who guested on “Waltons” are also skedded to attend, including Jonathan Frakes, Florence Henderson, Marla Gibbs, Gerald McRaney and — fresh from dying on “Breaking Bad” — Jonathan Banks.
