Dozens of thesps gather to talk about the TV business
Given the chance, actors generally love to talk among themselves about their craft.
Nearly three dozen top TV thesps got the chance to do just that last week at the Variety Studio, installed at the Andaz West Hollywood to capture conversations with stars of primetime comedy and drama skeins.
Thesps engaged in lively conversations about the nature of their work, the characters they play and how they see the state of television business. Participants also got a quick education in how to perform CPR from the American Heart Assn. — the key is to pump to the beat of “Stayin’ Alive” — as well as digital goodies from sponsor Motorola Mobility and cocoanut water (among other libations) from sponsor Zico.
