'Housewives,' 'Melissa' teen star joins Falcone in comedy

Rachel G. Fox has been cast as a lead on TV Land comedy pilot “I’m Not Dead Yet.”

Story centers around Ben Falcone’s character Sandy Lazarus, who discovers he has a life-threatening heart condition. Fox will star opposite Falcone as Sandy’s daughter Melanie Lazarus, a goth-looking 13-year-old who was recently betrayed by a best friend. Missi Pyle and Elliott Gould are also on board the single-cam laffer.

Fox has previously appeared in “Desperate Housewives,” “Melissa & Joey” and “Private Practice” along with big screen pic “Dream House” as Naomi Watts’s daughter. She is repped by Untitled Entertainment and Paradigm.
