Turner Broadcasting System AsiaPacific is consolidating broadcasting affiliates Japan Entertainment Network (JEN), Japan Image Communications (JIC) and Turner Intl. Japan into one entity under Turner Japan. The object is to boost efficiency by unifying managerial functions. The consolidation is skedded for completion by April, with all JEN and JIC staff moving to Turner Japan. Founded in 1997, JEN operates the Cartoon Network channel. Launched in 1992, JIC beams the Tabi Channel (travel), Mondo TV (variety) and Nitteleplus (drama, toons, variety) channel. In 2009, JEN took over management of JIC from security services major Secom.Turner to merge three companies
