Comedy-reality producer joins cabler

TruTV named Adam Dolgins senior veep of original programming for TruTV, where in particular he will oversee efforts to continue building the cabler’s alternative comedy and reality endeavors.

Dolgins most recently has exec produced multiple comedic reality shows, such as MTV’s “Silent Library” and “Boiling Points,” via his Fractured Hip Prods. shingle. His other credits include VH1’s “Rock of Ages.”

“Adam brings extensive creative experience to TruTV as a producer of the kind of comedic reality shows that are increasingly important (to the network),” said TruTV senior programming, production and development veep Darren Campo.

TruTV recently launched “Impractical Jokers” and has “Killer Karaoke” on tap.

Dolgins and TruTV senior veep of current programming Tony Horn, whose group oversees traditional reality series such as “Hardcore Pawn” and “Lizard Lick Towing” will report to Campo.

Dolgins’ partner at Fractured Hip, Frank Gregory, will continue to run the production company.
