Dec. 25 episode will serve as finale for drama series
TNT has officially pulled the plug on “Leverage.”
The Timothy Hutton starrer was on soft footing in its current fifth season and there was much speculation that the Turner cabler would not renew the show for a sixth.
The Dec. 25 episode will serve as the last for the series, which was created by Dean Devlin and John Rogers. Devlin’s Electric Entertainment served as the producing shingle.
In announcing the cancellation, TNT offered a statement that thanked the cast and crew as well as the audience.
“We want to thank the passionately devoted fans of ‘Leverage,’ who have been the driving force behind its success,” the statement read.
TNT is readying for the launch of David E. Kelley’s hospital drama “Monday Mornings,” which is set to debut in early February.
