TLC is bringing its favorite “Gypsy” to the U.S.
The cabler has ordered eight episodes of “My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding,” not to be confused with U.K. skein “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding,” which TLC has been rerunning in the U.S. with modified voice-overs. The new series will be set in gypsy communities across the U.S. and will follow couples through their weddings as they deal with various challenges, from cultural acceptance of a non-Gypsy spouse to a wedding renewal thrown to make up for a teenage elopement. Series is produced by Firecracker Films. No premiere date has been set.TLC to throw ‘Gypsy Wedding’
