LONDON — British thesp Stephen Fry will provide the voice-over for the U.K. version of the 12-part docu series “Mankind: The Story of All of Us,” which bows on History in the U.K. Nov. 14.
The skein claims to deploy cutting-edge CGI and cinematic-style dramatic reconstruction to tell the story of the human survival story on planet earth. The show’s producers, Nutopia, said the docu represents a new taken on history as it charts the rise of homo sapiens from hunter-gatherer to global citizen. In the U.S., where the skein bows Nov. 13, the narrator is Josh Brolin. Nutopia previously made “America: The Story of Us” for History in the U.S.
