Exec replaces Bill Myers

Starz has promoted Glenn Curtis to president.

The move comes a few weeks after former president and chief operating officer Bill Myers stepped down after being at the pay cabler since 2002.

Curtis, who will retain his chief financial officer title, was most recently exec VP. He will report to CEO Chris Albrecht and assume expanded executive management and operational roles across all Starz businesses.

”I have an incredible amount of professional and personal respect for Glenn and am very pleased to promote him into this expanded role,” Albrecht said. ”Glenn’s counsel has been vital to our growth over the past few years and there is no one better to manage the family of Starz businesses on to greater success.”

Curtis will remain in the net’s Colorado corporate office.
