Stand Up for Heroes sets Jon Stewart, Springsteen

Woodruff Foundation event honors servicemen

Jon Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais and Patton Oswalt are among talent slated to perform at the sixth annual Stand Up for Heroes, part of the New York Comedy Fest.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation presents the comedy and music event, which honors injured serviceman, veterans and families for the work they did overseas, at the Beacon Theater Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.

“Stand Up for Heroes is a special evening full of uplifting moments ingrained in gratitude that unifies us all and inspires us to do more on behalf of the heroes in our midst,” said Lee Woodruff, co-founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

The comedy fest runs Nov. 7-11.
