Spike greenlights ‘Urban Tarzan’

Series has animal handler working in dangerous scenarios

Spike TV is getting into the swing of things with “Urban Tarzan.”

Male-demo cabler has ordered 10 episodes of a half-hour series that follows the country’s preeminent extreme animal handler, and who rescues, captures, and relocates dangerous and exotic animals.

Series will premiere in the spring.

Formerly known as John Brennan, the handler is now known as Urban Tarzan. He uses his instincts to make sure animals are safe and the public is not harmed by any creatures that find themselves in a public setting.

Show is produced by Asylum Entertainment. Steve Michaels and Jonathan Koch are exec producers.
