Christina Spade has been upped to exec VP and chief financial officer at Showtime.
Her ascension comes on the heels of the retirement of Jerry Scro, who was CFO for the past 16 years.
Spade will be responsible for all financial matters relating to Showtime’s businesses, including budgeting, planning, forecasting and accounting. She previously served as senior VP of affiliate finance and business operations.
“I can’t think of a stronger and more competent executive to step into Jerry’s shoes than Chris Spade,” said chairman-CEO Matt Blank.
Scro joined Showtime in 1989 as VP, controller. Before joining the cabler, Scro spent 17 years with CBS Inc.
On Scro’s retirement, Blank added: “He has been a trusted and beloved colleague and friend to all of us at Showtime. He will be most sorely missed.”
