Reelz Channel has added a second original drama series to its slate, “XIII,” a spy thriller toplined by Stuart Townsend and Aisha Tyler.
Series is set to preem in June on the heels of the finale of Reelz’s inaugural scripted drama skein, the Steven Seagal starrer “True Justice.” Based on a graphic novel series by Jean Van Hamme, “XIII” hails from Jay Firestone’s Prodigy Pictures banner and Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp. Television. Townsend plays a former secret agent who has been stripped of his memory but is hunted by an anti-government agency. Firestone and EuropaCorp TV’s Edouard De Vésinne and Thomas Anargyros are exec producers along with showrunner Gil Grant.
