Sures to assume lead role in alternative division

Veteran reality TV agent and UTA partner Michael Camacho has resigned from the percentery, saying in a company-wide email that he plans to “pursue the next phase” of his career.

The agency said in a statement that it is “extremely grateful to Michael” for his five years at UTA and that “his intensity and focus have been at the center of building a great business for us in the non-scripted television space.”

Alternative division at the percentery will now be led by Jay Sures.

Camacho has yet to reveal his future professional plans, though he closed his email adieu with, “As I look forward, I am sure of one thing, and that is that we will be working together in a new capacity that will be rewarding and exciting for us all.”

Before joining UTA, Camacho handled unscripted at CAA.
