Wider range of biz execs recruited to judge marketing kudos
Marketing association PromaxBDA has broadened the jury for its annual awards to include a wider range of industry execs.
The kudos honor promotions, marketing and design in television. Peter Liguori, former honcho at FX, Fox and Discovery Communications, will lead two judging panels, one in L.A., one in Gotham. The winners will be unveiled June 14 as part of the annual Promax confab at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live.
“We wanted to reinforce that the PromaxBDA Awards are not only being recognized in the marketing, design and promotion space, but across the entertainment industry,” said Jonathan Block-Verk, prexy and CEO of PromaxBDA. “With technology developments, social media and new business models and practices changing and growing, we have also updated the categories to best reflect industry practices.”
Members of the L.A. jury include: Univision’s Jennifer Ball, Fox Broadcasting’s Laurel Bernard, Variety’s Brian Lowry and TLC’s Amy Winter.
Gotham jury includes: DirecTV’s Jon Gieselman, Turner Broadcasting’s Michael Ouweleen, TV Land’s Kim Rosenblum, and Cooking Channel’s Michael Smith.
