Showtime has acquired docu “Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out,” from director Marina Zenovich, for a 2013 airing.
Pic examines the helmer’s arrest three years ago for sex with a minor in 1977 and subsequent detention in Switzerland, leading to worldwide discussion. Film first unspooled at the Toronto Film Festival in September and then went on to the New York and Zurich film fests. Exec producers are Zenovich, Lila Yacoub, Steven Soderbergh, Randy Wooten, Michael Roban and Stephan Paternot. Zenovich is currently directing the Showtime original docu “Richard Pryor: Omit the Logic.” It’s set to debut next year.Polanski docu to air on Showtime
