'Guide to Divorce' will follow four women in their 40s
Showtime is developing a half-hour comedy from scribe Marti Noxon, whose credits include “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Mad Men” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
The semi-autobiographical “Guide to Divorce” centers on the relief, the emotional minefield, the freedom, the familial complications and the sexual exploration that all come with divorce after a long-term relationship, told from the perspective of four women in their 40s.
In addition to writing, Noxon will exec produce with Dawn Olmstead (“Prison Break”), Meryl Poster (“Chicago”) and Vicki Iovine (author of “The Girlfriends’ Guides” books).
“Divorce” will go through Noxon’s production company, Luckypants. She is currently writing “Glass Castle” for Summit with Jennifer Lawrence set to star, and “Tink” for Disney and Elizabeth Banks.
Noxon is repped by WME.
