Former MTV exec will be based in New York
News Corp has tapped former MTV corporate communications head Nathaniel Brown as the org’s new veep of corporate affairs and communications. Brown will be based in Gotham and work closely with Dan Berger who serves as VP of corporate affairs and communications in Los Angeles. Pair reports to Julie Henderson, chief communications officer.
Brown will focus on primarily financial communications, litigation and policy-related matters while Berger will focus on New Corp’s creative and channels business, and digital issues. Duo will also work with Henderson as News Corp continues with its company division announced earlier in the summer. News Corp will be splitting in two, sectioning off its entertainment arm from publications including the Wallstreet Journal and the New York Post.
Prior to his time at MTV, Brown oversaw corporate communications at XM Radio and also worked within Sony BMG’s corporate communications group.
