NBC is fanning the flames of “Chicago Fire,” ordering five more scripts for the Dick Wolf drama.
The firefighter procedural has done respectable business for the Peacock in the Wednesday 10 p.m. slot after three outings. In its most recent airing, the show averaged a 1.8 rating/5 share in adults 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers. It ran third in the timeslot behind CBS’ “CSI” (2.4/6, 9.8m) and ABC’s “Nashville” (2.0/6, 6.6m) but held fast to its 9 p.m. lead-in, “Law & Order: SVU” (1.8/5, 6.7m). “Chicago Fire” hails from Universal TV and is exec produced by Wolf, creators Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, Matt Olmstead, Joe Chappelle, Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski.NBC orders 5 scripts for ‘Chicago Fire’
